Sesquicentennial State Park is a state park in South Carolina's Sandhills area. Locals call the park Sesqui. The park spans over 1,400 acres and is located about 12 miles from Columbia’s downtown.
The park has a 30-acre park lake with rental fishing boats, paddle boats, standup paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and fishing, as well as four paths with over 12 miles of recreational access. The Sandhills Trail is a two-mile circle around the park lake that is ADA accessible. The bike trail has 6.5 miles of moderately sanded ground with a few elevation variations.

The Columbia Fireflies are the Minor League baseball team in Columbia, SC. They play at Segra Park, a modern stadium built in 2016. The entertainment between innings is great, and the food is wonderful (check out the pimento cheese hamburgers)!
Since 2020, the Fireflies are an affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. The Fireflies are the only professional baseball team in the city. Part of the team’s jerseys glow in the dark as a reference to the name Fireflies. Slide over to Segra Park for a fun night with the Columbia Fireflies!
